Our Lavender Lullaby is composed of two different varieties of Lavandula angustifolia—a true lavender, native to the Mediterranean. These varieties are sourced from Provence and the Maritime Alpes in south of France. Both are grown and distilled at a high altitude, where the boiling point of water is lower, which preserves natural compounds otherwise lost when distilled at lower elevations.  The first variety is not grown, but wild crafted and hand-cut by sickles high in the Maritime Alpes. Our second variety is a population lavender grown from seeds, and so it retains genetic diversity.
